Famous for all-day sunshine, wide open uncrowded runs and relaxed Kiwi atmosphere, Mount Dobson offers some of the best skiing and boarding. From NZ’s largest learner/intermediate area to advanced runs with miles of untracked powder, there is skiing and boarding for all levels. The three-kilometre wide basin boasts 14 separate runs and is accessible from the Triple Chair, T-Bar and Platter. The huge natural half-pipe is a favourite with boarders. Mount Dobson is renowned for dry powder and great views – it has the highest base facilities in New Zealand (1,725 metres). Back by popular demand for 2012, the beginner rope tow is free!
